Dom's Opinion

Religion is the base of all Afterlife theories, but which one is right? Maybe it's not who's right and who's wrong, maybe they are all right according to the individual.
It would be terrible to find out after you have passed on that you had been wrong your entire life. We must all die, we cannot escape our destiny.
What is more important than what is after life is what life is. Life was meant to learn and pass on what we have learnt, to show compassion, to find and spread love. Not for evil, hate, destruction and war.
Christians, Muslims and Jews all follow the commandment, “Thou shall not kill”.
The most important thing about that commandment is the period at the end of it. That means “Thou shall not kill, period”, no exceptions. God does not want you to kill your enemies, nor does he want you to kill in his name. Yet all three of these religions have used God as an excuse for killing. Terrorism and War are “Murder”, there is no way to justify murder. All religions agree that no one has the right to take another persons life, yet people are murdered every day.

Always remember that God does not hate, anyone claiming that God hates a specific group is obviously confused. We have free will, this is our gift from God. To truly understand God all you need to think of is the love people feel for their children. In a healthy, loving parent child relationship, you love your child and would die for him, this doesn't mean that your child is perfect and that you are never angered or disappointed but you love your child regardless of his flaws. This is the way of God. God loves us regardless and just like you wouldn't condemn you child for his entire life, God would never condemn you for eternity. As you forgive your children, he forgives you. God is not angry, God is not fearful. God is Love. Anger and fear are not of God, these are negative emotions that mankind has put on God. Love is God...

I have been a Christian all my life and when I was young it struck me, “What happens to non Christians after they die?” I always felt God was a merciful God and would not persecute people for a difference of opinion. From that point forward I believed we see in the afterlife what we believed in life, that way no one is wrong. We won't know what afterlife holds until we experience it for ourself. Religion may not hold all the info needed to see the whole picture. Look within yourself to find what you truly believe and remember that you know as much as anyone who has lived before you on the subject of afterlife. Not one person knows all the answers. Hold on to what you believe, that is what you will most likely see after you die. To get a good view of the afterlife you have to learn other people and religious point of views. To do this all you need to do is read. All the information is out there in libraries and bookstores. My opinion of the afterlife is derived from my inner feelings and many books including:
The Bible (Old and New)
You cannot die – Ian Currie
The Tibetan book of the dead
Travel guide to heaven – Anthony Destefano
What dreams may come – Richard Matheson
and many more…
I have studied Taoism, I practice Yoga and Meditation. I am a student of life. I have always been a spiritual person and still consider myself a Christian. I do not feel a conflict between Christianity and Knowledge. The more I know the better Christian I can become.
If you are curious about learning more about the afterlife remember this; No one can say with absolute certainty what the afterlife is. We know it exists and we know it is inevitable, so in time we will all learn. Live a good moral, loving and honest life and I believe you will have a wonderful afterlife.
